On Saturday, June 25, James Madison Preparatory High School (JMPHS) will be hosting a memorial golf tournament and silent auction in honor of Jay Johnson.
The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. with the check-in and silent auction. At the end of the day there will be an award’s ceremony at 6 p.m.
During the event, there will be a lunch (with a $5 fee for non-players) and a Mulligan will be offered once-per-team for an additional $5.
The tournament is limited to 22 four-player teams, so early registration is the best shot at making sure you and your team get the opportunity to compete.
To participate, there are multiple sponsor levels starting at the $124 individual and going up with $400 gold and $500 platinum.
For $125, individuals can receive their placement on an assigned team as well as a t-shirt, breakfast and lunch.
$400 covers a four-person team, which includes t-shirts, breakfast and lunch for all members as well as recognition on the school’s website, no matter the ending score of their team.
For $500, a team will receive t-shirts, breakfast and lunch for team members, a tee-sign with their sponsor’s company name and recognition on the school’s website.
A $50 silver sponsor level is also available to sponsors who do not plan on participating in the tournament but wish to have their company name on a tee-sign and wish to receive recognition on JMPHS’ school website.
Anyone interested in participating or sponsoring a team can contact the school at (850) 253-2173 or visit the school’s website at www.jmphs.org to download a registration form. Forms are also available in the school’s front office.
The contact person for the event is Kathy Wilder; for questions, call Wilder at (850) 929-9910.
The deadline to enter your team is Wednesday, June 1; dedicated golf players have plenty of time to get their name into the tournament to compete for the winning title.
