Jean Carroll was born on March 20, 1949, in Greenville, Fla. She completed her life of service to her family, her profession and her community on Monday, Aug. 17, 2020 in Tallahassee, Fla. Funeral Services will be Friday, Aug. 21, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Beggs Funeral Home-Madison Chapel with burial at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation was held on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2020 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Beggs Funeral Home.
She graduated from Greenville High School in Greenville, Fla. in 1967. She had a Master's Degree in Christian Counseling with a minor in Psychology from Carolina University of Theology. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother ("Jean-Jean"). She will be remembered for her infectious laugh, her generosity and of course her outspoken personality.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny Carroll of 53 years; two daughters: Tracey Kelly (Ritchie) and Kelli O'Quinn (DeWayne); four grandchildren: Devin (Matt) Thompson, Erin (John) Hart, Steven (Joy) O'Quinn and Kristen (Wil) Eakins; four great-grandchildren: Brayson, Brynlee, Adalynn and Ally; brothers: Jimmie (Verline) Cone and Farley (Doris) Cone of Jasper, Fla.; sisters: Peggy Duncan of Perry, Fla., Mary (Bill) Sublett of Lake Park, Ga., Joyce (Andy) Wells of Madison, Lavonne Browning of Cherry Lake, Fla. and Tammy (Bob) Berger of Steinhatchee, Fla.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many friends and co-workers of Madison Health and Rehab.
She is preceded in death by her parents: James and Betty Cone; and brother, Tommy Cone.
Jean was a faithful member of Sirmans Baptist Church in Sirmans, Fla. for over 40 years. She was a loved employee at Madison Health and Rehab for 23 years.
