The Middle Florida Baptist Association (MFBA) is conducting an evangelistic event on Saturday, Oct. 14, at the Jefferson County Recreation Park, located at 1380 Mamie Scott Drive, in Monticello. The 'Jesus Jefferson Jam' event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Christian Illusionist Taylor Hughes will give three performances under a big tent set up to seat 500 people. The times are: 11 a.m., 12 p.m., and 1 p.m. His performances will include a Gospel presentation.
Counselors from the MFBA will be available to talk to anyone responding to the Gospel message.
500 Payless Shoe Source vouchers will be given away. There will be hotdogs, drinks, chips and an assortment of prizes.
All of the surrounding Association churches (34 total) have been invited to provide carnival booths for the event, and all booths are free of charge.
Volunteers will be needed to help with set-up and take down. If you are willing to help, please come by early on Saturday.
