John Paul Fine, age 73, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 in Valdosta, Ga. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2020 at First Baptist Church in Madison, Fla.
John was born November 2, 1946 to George Hamilton and Verna Lou Lovell Fine in Cullman, Ala. He served with the United States Marine Corps with the 3rd amTrac battalion during Vietnam. He lived in Madison, Fla. since 2005 coming from Homestead, Fla. where he owned a shop, A-OK Fish-n-Bait.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Madison where he was very active. John enjoyed building beautiful bird houses and building ramps for handicapped people. He was involved with the United Methodist Youth Ranch. His favorite hobby was fishing off the Florida Keys.
John was preceded in death by his parents, George Hamilton and Verna Lou Lovell Fine. He is survived by his wife, Lura Fine; one son, Jerrod J. Fine, of Mobile, Ala.; one daughter, Crystal Bostic (Ronald) of Lake City, Fla.; one brother, Gary Fine (Veronica) "Ronnie" of Cherry Lake, Fla.; two sisters, Veda Fine of Venus, Fla. and Libby Fine of Lake Park, Ga.; one granddaughter, Carilynn Nieman–Bostic; one grandson, Brandon Bostic; and many nieces and nephews.
