Ms. Julie Bass, age 53, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022. The viewing will be held on Thursday, Aug. 4, at 10 a.m. with the funeral service following at 11 a.m., at Beggs Funeral Home, Madison Chapel (850) 973-2258. Burial will follow at San Pedro Cemetery in Madison, Fla. Rev. Zack Corbett will be officiating, with Hal and Ramona Sprenkle leading the music.
Julie Bass was born March 16, 1969 in Vero Beach, Fla., to her parents, Frederick Sumpter and Abbie Colvin Bass. She was of the Baptist Faith and has lived here most of her life. After earning her high school diploma, she worked several jobs in Florida and South Georgia. She was a manager at Quick Stop, in Wabasso, Fla., in Indian River County. She also worked at convenience stores in Lake Park, Ga. and Cherry Lake, Fla. She was a caretaker for the elderly and a nursery caregiver at Miss Billie Jean’s Child Daycare. She had a big heart to help others. Her most favorite job ever was when she took care of her great niece and great nephew. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Frederick and Abbie Bass, two brothers, Fred Jr. Bass and Thomas Gary Bass. (Nieces and nephews).
She is survived by her former husband, Roy Grantham, of Pinetta; a brother, Vann Bass (Suzanne) of Pinetta; a sister; Jennifer Evans (Dale) of Pinetta; nephew; Austin Bass (Stephanie), nephew; Jonathan Oaks (Amber) from Ray City, GA; nephew; Dale Evans II (Meagan) of Naples, Fla.; nephew; Brian Evans (Sacha) of Pinetta; nephew; Daniel Oaks (Fiance Mary Scinemi) of Dasher, Ga.; great nieces: Paisley, Cassie, Emma, Sophia, Wanda and Mary; and great nephews: Waylon, Brandon, Dillon, Ethan, Jimmy, Jeff and Josh.
