Kelvin Lydell Solomon, 37, of Madison, Fla. entered into the sunset of this life on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021.
Graveside life services will be held at 10 a.m on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021, on the lawn of Oakridge II Cemetery, located at 1376 SW CR 360, in Madison. Public viewing and visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 12, 2021 at Tillman of Madison, ~A Hall-Moore Provider~ (850) 973-6677, 379 W. Base Street, Madison.
He was the son of Sandy Smith and Larry James Solomon, Sr. Kelvin, also known as "Scoop", was a 2001 graduate of Madison County High School. He later received his certified nursing assistant (CNA) training from Lively Technical School.
Kelvin was a dedicated employee who loved to work. His short career included nearly 15 years at Winn-Dixie, where he moved up the ranks from bagger, to head manager to area manager. Other places of employment included his being a crew member at McDonald's, training for manager at Love's, CNA at Mike & Rachel Peacock's Assisted Living Facility and at Lake Park of Madison Nursing Home.
In addition to his work ethic, Kelvin had time for enjoying life. He loved to cook, sing and dance.
Kelvin accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was a faithful member of Gospel Train Outreach Ministries.
Cherishing his memory and mourning his passing are his parents, Sandy (Johnnie B.) Smith and Larry James (Jerryline McGhee) Solomon, Sr.; siblings: Natasha Wooten, Tameka (Reginger) Wooten, Latasha (Reshard) Brown, Carlos (Deshuandla) Solomon, Larry James Solomon, Jr., Brandon Brown, Marcus Maurice Solomon and Marcus Arnold; best friends: Bruno Johnson, Sharika Craddock, and Jennifer McGhee; along with numerous other relatives, co-workers and loving friends.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents: Viola Smith, James Benjamin Solomon and Mae Beulah Sapp.
Final care and compassionate services are being provided to the Solomon family, with love, care and uncompromising dignity, by the Hall-Moore Funeral Directors at Tillman Funeral Home of Madison.
