“What do you say to a guy who the last time you saw him tried to kill you?” Kidnapped: A God Story is the terrifying story of 10-year-old Chris Carrier, the boy who was kidnapped, repeatedly stabbed, shot in the head and left to die in the Everglades.
Chris Carrier was described as having an “extraordinarily ordinary” life. He and his family lived in Coral Gables, Fla. He had two parents, two siblings and a dog. He grew up in church and was the picture of a typical young boy.
On Friday, December 20, 1974, Carrier was walking home from the school bus on the last day of school before Christmas break. On his way home, a man stopped him and started up a conversation. The man, introducing himself as Chuck, seemed to know plenty about Chris's family and when he asked Carrier to help him with Christmas decorations, Carrier felt no reason to decline.
