On Thursday, July 9, the Kiwanis Club of Madison welcomed Janet Moses and April Phinazee of The Barn Quilts of Madison County. Together, they informed club members of the Florida Quilt Trail and the newest additions to Madison's collection. The Florida Quilt Trail is the fastest growing grassroots public arts movement in America. It starts in Trenton, Fl. and combines travel with history and artwork. Large colorful quilt-like designs are painted or mounted on historic buildings and barns to share local talent and stories. It is a great way to showcase Madison's rich history and is drawing in visitors from all over the country. For more information, contact Janet Moses at (386) 249-4625 or visit floridaquilttrail.com and click on Madison's link.
