The Madison County Central School Lady Broncos collected seven hits, but fell 9-3 to Suwannee at Taylor County during their last game of the season on Tuesday, March 8.
Kayla Hurst got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. She allowed three runs over seven innings. She struck out five, walked none and surrendered seven hits.
Hope Underhill was charged with the loss. She lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none and allowed four runs.
A three-run third inning helped bring the Lady Broncos within one. An RBI single by Jashanti Davis, an RBI single by Grace Galbraith and a single by Abi Annett triggered the Lady Broncos' comeback.
Suwannee scored one run in the fifth inning and then followed it up with one more in the sixth inning. In the fifth inning, Suwannee scored on a solo home run.
The Lady Broncos finished the season with an overall record of 9-3.
