On Monday, Feb. 27, the Lady Broncos softball team of Madison County Central School (MCCS) hosted Lake City Middle School. It did not take long for the Lady Broncos to find themselves in a hole, out of which they could not climb. Lake City went up four runs in the first inning and added six more in the second inning before the Lady Broncos could get on the scoreboard. The Lady Broncos did manage to score three runs in the final three innings, but that was not enough to catch Lake City. Lake City won the game with a 10-4 final score.
Olivia Galbraith hit a three-bagger which drove in one RBI. Rheanna Shreiber went two-for-three at the plate with one RBI. Halie Wetherington was the losing pitcher, giving up seven earned runs and recording seven strike-outs.
