Larry Michael Vickers, 46, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, in Norristown, Pa.
Born on March 6, 1979, in Jasper, Fla., Michael brought a vibrant sense of humor and appreciation for life’s simple pleasures to those who knew him.
He was the beloved son of Sheila Lindsey Tyree and the late Johnny Mack Vickers. He is also remembered with love by his sisters, Brandi Childers-Moya and Kellie Tyree; his partner, Orville Campbell; his cherished dog, Scruffy; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews.
Michael had a lifelong love for animals and found joy in their companionship and care. His passion for nature extended to his favorite television programming—he was an avid viewer of the Nature Channel—and he found peace and fascination in learning about the natural world. Music was another constant in his life, providing both comfort and inspiration.
A devoted fan of “Game of Thrones,” Michael enjoyed immersing himself in its rich storytelling and epic landscapes. He also loved spending time outdoors, especially swimming at Blue Springs and visiting Wild Adventures during his years in Florida.
In 2018, Michael relocated to Pa., where he embraced new experiences with enthusiasm. He delighted in witnessing the first snow each year and took great pleasure in attending the Winter Wonderland Fest. Visits to the Aquarium became a favorite pastime as he continued to explore the beauty of nature from a new perspective.
Michael’s warmth, curiosity and sense of humor left a lasting impression on those around him. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved him and continue to inspire moments of laughter and excitement.
A celebration of life is planned for Saturday, May 10, at 9 a.m., at Madison Blue Spring State Park.
