Lee residents gathered at Eloise Stewart Park in Pine Trace Acres, in Lee, for the Second Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt hosted by Lee Methodist Church.
Saturday, April 4, was a perfect day for this community event. The festivities started at 11 a.m. and were kicked off by the Easter egg hunt, where 1,000 eggs were hidden throughout the park. The hunt was split up into two age divisions, ages four and under and ages five and up. For the four-and-under hunt, Jaxson Whitfield found the prize egg and won a large chocolate bunny. Olivia Bearden was the prize egg winner for the five and up age division and she also received a large chocolate bunny.
After the egg hunt, lunch was served. Participants had a wide variety of yummy foods such as hamburgers, hotdogs, cupcakes, cookies, chips and drinks.
The special guest of the afternoon was the Easter Bunny. Kids were able to meet the Easter Bunny and even have their photo taken with him. Other activities included a basket raffle, a bounce house, corn hole, ring toss, a K9 demonstration by the Madison County Sheriff's Office and so much more.
