On Sunday, Oct. 15, Lee United Methodist Church celebrated the church’s 189th anniversary during the morning service. It was a day full of opportunities for church members to celebrate with family, food, fellowship, guests and “home folks.”
The service featured special music, sharing and guest speakers. Charlie Dickey was one of the special speakers, and Steve McHargue, the church’s pastor during 2015-2016, brought a special message entitled, “We are the Church; the Body of Christ.” There were 142 people in attendance at the service.
After the service, those present enjoyed visiting during the covered-dish lunch.
Lee United Methodist Church is located at 103 W. Wesley St., (Hwy.255 S) in Lee.
