Friday, April 15 will mark 104 years of the "unsinkable ship" that claimed the lives of 1,522 precious souls.
What is the strong attraction to this tragic maiden voyage? In two hours and 40 minutes, this majestic ship was ripped in half and plunged into a watery grave in the Atlantic Ocean.
This was the ship touted by a newspaper as a vessel that "even God couldn't sink." Pastor Richard B. Sauls will discuss the meaningful spiritual lessons embedded in this tragic event.
The ship was named Titanic in honor of the great Titan warriors from Greek mythology, a race of people fighting with God over the forces of nature. Eventually, they lost and were cast into Hell. The name itself exudes arrogance and the word of God says that pride goes before a fall.
What a tragic fall it was, leaving man shaking his fist in the face of God over his spectacular worldly production, giving none of the honor to God.
Come listen to this powerful message as Pastor Sauls describes in detail the deadliness caused by allowing pride to grow in our lives.
There will also be a drawing for a piece of authentic coal from the Titanic, along with more prizes as well.
