Leon “Lee” Dowdee, III, 46, of Apopka, Fl., passed away in his home on May 18. Lee's Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, May 25, at 5 p.m. at Lohman Funeral Home, located at 733 W. Granada Blvd. in Ormond Beach. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Lee was born to Leon, Jr. (deceased) and Diane (Kelley) Dowdee on January 2, 1970 in Daytona Beach. He was a graduate of Seabreeze High School. Lee was a computer engineer for Florida Hospital in Orlando for 16 years. He enjoyed working out with weights, target practice, movies with friends and talking politics.
Lee is survived by his mother, Diane Dowdee; sisters, Sandra (Dan) Watts, of Port Orange, Fl. and Lani (Kent) Spradley, of Ormond Beach; grandparents, Buck and Jewel Kelley, of Madison, Fl.; nieces and nephews: Samantha Free, Ryan Free, Jordan Snipes, Haley Snipes and Carson Spradley; great-niece, Lillianna Lira; and cousin, Joe Ivey of Durham, NC. The Kelley family is very large with many living in the Daytona Beach and Madison, Fl. area.
