About one in 68 children have been identified on the autism spectrum. With rates this high, everyone is affected. ASK (Always Support Kids) is our local group working with 4-H to bring support and understanding to the many families that are affected by autism and other developmental disorders. This is where you come in… The eighth annual World Autism Awareness Day is April 2. How will you help shine a light for autism awareness? The 4-H ASK group will be celebrating all month long! We will kick off the month on April 2nd at the NFCC Art Gallery, auctioning off original artwork painted by children touched by autism. The annual ASK A5K will be April 11th at Lanier Field. We believe children on the spectrum should be able to attend a summer camp just like any of their peers. All month, money raised through our au-some fundraisers will help send our very special children to a 4-H camp at Camp Cherry Lake. The ASK group would like to thank our community for all of their previous and future support!
