The Madison County Kiwanis Club organizes Light Up Madison each year, and each year the celebration is a success. On Saturday Dec. 3, the Kiwanis Club of Madison sponsored the 6th annual Light Up Madison event helping to kick-off the Christmas season. Club
members organized this event to provide a fun-filled evening with several activities, at little or no cost for families. The community's participation in this event made it a successful night.
The evening began at 5 p.m., with a delightful performance of “Tis the Season” presented by Becky's Dance Steps Studio. During the event, vendors set-up a variety of different booths filled with fun activities, games, entertainment and food.
Madison County Community Bank made the trees come to life with color as the parade began at 6 p.m. The parade traveled around Madison with a brightly lit display, fully representing the Christmas spirit. Hay rides were available for the children from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The Madison Woman's Club was responsible for the beautiful decorations which made Winter Wonderland in the Four Freedoms Park an unforgettable experience. The Madison County Chamber of Commerce decorated the Four Freedoms Gazebo making an enchanting experience for the community’s enjoyment.
Light Up Madison was truly a spectacular event, leaving locals awaiting what's in store for next year.
