Jenny Jackson, a graduate of Aucilla Christian Academy, and native of Monticello, was a standout gymnast growing up. So much so, that she received a scholarship to compete at the collegiate level, at Centenary College of Louisiana. In high school, she competed for the Taylor Gymnastics program, and won the Gasprilla Classic in 2017, along with the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) National Championship on beam, bar and all-around. She won the floor routine at the Florida State Championships, and went on to level 10 AAU Nationals, where she won on vault, bars and beam. At the state championship, she won all-around.
When she got to college, the accolades continued. Jackson received Scholastic All-American honors from both the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) and Academic All-Conference honors from the Midwest Independent Conference. By her junior season, Jackson was deemed a Midwest Independent Conference scholar-athlete and WCGA Academic All-American. She majored in biology and received her bachelor's degree from Centenary College of Louisiana, before returning home.
Now that she is back home, Jackson has been helping other aspiring young gymnasts compete in similar ways to her past. She now coaches at Taylor Gymnastics, Cheerleading and Dance, helping young girls just like Harley, Dani and Paisley achieve their dreams of succeeding in the sport of gymnastics.
