Pines 2007-Castleberry is a 14 and under travel softball team filled with girls from right here in Madison, as well as the South Georgia area. The team is coached by Head Coach, Sonja Bass and assistants, Joey Castleberry and Carter Gore. Pines went undefeated (6-0) in their recent tournament, held in Moultrie, Ga. Logan Bass and Natalee Mask, Madison locals, excelled in their hitting and their batting averages showed it, Bass with .500 and Mask with .417. Pines outscored their opponents 64-15. With summer just starting, this team plans on capitalizing on their success and performing even better as the season goes on.
