On Tuesday, May 24, there will be a lupus support community presentation held at the Madison County Extension Office, located at 184 NW College Loop. The title of the program is “Dealing with Lupus Pain and Fatigue: Tips for Patients and Supporters.”
Dr. Rob Thomas, Executive Director and CEO of Big Bend Area Health Education Center (AHEC) and Rural Health Networks will be giving the introduction. The special guest speaker of the program will be Linda Ruescher, Program Director for the Lupus Foundation of Florida.
The program is open to all lupus patients and those who support them. Those who attend will get the opportunity to hear the facts and updated information on lupus, learn how to reduce pain and fatigue and relax while being informed.
Registration will be held at 5:30 p.m. and the program will begin at 6 p.m.
The first 30 participants will receive $15 gift cards. Light refreshments will be available and referral lists will be provided.
