Madison has always been known for the athletic standouts that come from this town, and the Babe Ruth Madison 12 and under All-Star softball team is no exception. The group just finished their run at the State Tournament in Lake City, where they fell to Newberry by just one run, after winning their first two games 24-2 and 5-4. The tournament was held from Thursday, June 22, to Monday, June 26.
The All-Star team, made up of 12 girls, made their run at State after going undefeated during regular season play. The team consisted of Bailie Bradfield, Clara Pike, Emmy McCarley, Reagan Webb, Lacey Tuten, Alyssa Meyer, Ava Surles, Leah Webb, Jules Nagel, Lexi Wetherington, Bailey Bass and Emery Ratliff. They were coached by Troy Bradfield, Beth Driver, Chris Driver and Ray Pike. Although the team did not come home champions, they gave it their all and still had a stellar season. Congratulations girls!
