Madison Church of God celebrated Labor Day weekend with an invitation to the community to come join its members for a picnic and an afternoon of games and activities.
This time of food, fun and fellowship was held on the afternoon of Sunday, Sept. 3, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. The afternoon was filled with games and activities for the young and the young-at-heart. Some of the activities available for entertaining everyone included inflatables for the children and the basketball court for the athletic. There was also a variety of musical entertainment, and plenty of food.
“This is something we do every year for our community. We had a ShandsCair helicopter come show us what the helicopters looked like and what all they do. We also had the Madison County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit come out to be a part of this great day as well as Madison County EMS. There was free food, along with bounce houses for the kids and even a train ride. We had a great time fellowshipping and now we are gearing up for the Madison Pumpkin Patch coming the second week of October for all ages,” said Pastor Jason Justus.
