Members of the Madison Church of God gathered on Sunday, Nov. 8 for the Ground Breaking Ceremony for the Ronnie Weeks Life Center, which is being built in honor of a former pastor who passed away in a car accident many years ago. Weeks had a vision to build a Family Life Center and purchased property for it before he died. And now, in his memory, that vision has become a reality. Equipped with shovels, Pastor Jason Justus, along with many others, took the first step in making this dream come true and dug up the earth on the property during the Ground Breaking Ceremony. The Ronnie Weeks Life Center is going to be located on the same site as Madison Church of God. It is approximately 15,625 square feet and will provide many services to the community. The center will have a children's church facility that can fit up to 125 to 150 children, along with a youth center. There will also be three offices, a media facility, full-size basketball and volleyball courts, a commercialized kitchen and four showers. Justus anticipates that the center will be open for use by adults, seniors and youth, along with businesses and others who might need the facility to hold meetings, gatherings or parties in the center and parents are invited to bring their kids to play. The center will also be used for day camps, summer camps, basketball camps and outreach ministries. There will also be plenty of space for parents to watch their children enjoy the facility's features. The Ronnie Weeks Life Center revolves around R.I.C.H.: Reaching the lost Investing in families Changing the world, one person at a time Helping the hurting Justus hopes to see the facility up and running by the end of May or June of next year.
