The Madison County A.S.K. (Always Support Kids) 4-H Club is very excited to host their third annual A5K walk on Saturday afternoon, April 11. The whole community is invited for a fun-filled day in Madison. All proceeds from the 5K will pay for a sleep-away summer camp experience at Cherry Lake. This unique camp was created for local children who have been touched by autism and other developmental disabilities. This year, the A5K will be held at Lanier Field (behind O’Neal’s Restaurant) at Alligator Trail, in Madison. Vendor spots are still available. Vendor set up starts at 2 p.m. To help this great cause, donations would be greatly appreciated. Volunteers for the A5K are welcome and needed. Contact Leslie McLeod at 4hleader.ask.madisonfl@g-mail.com or Becky Bennett at the Madison County Extension Office (850) 973-4138 for more information. All are invited to participate in the Kids' Fun Run, which starts at 4 p.m. The price is $10 to compete in the 5K walk/race that begins at 4:30 p.m. Registration for the A5K begins at 3:30 p.m. There will be activities for the children including a bounce house, clowns and entertainment. Free water bottles will be provided. The awards ceremony will take place right after the A5K. To register online go to: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/a5k-walk-and-race-2015-tickets-16044890700. Everyone is invited to join in the fun and help show their support for these amazing kids in Madison County.
