For Major League Baseball, opening day is slated for Thursday, March 27. However for a group of excited Madison County youngsters, an even bigger opening day will take place a couple of days later on Saturday, March 29. That’s when Madison County Babe Ruth will hold their Opening Day Ceremonies, followed by a slew of baseball, t-ball and softball games.
In addition to the fun of ball games, there will be a silent cake auction, photos taken and much more. The Opening Day Ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m., at the Madison County Recreation Park, located at 753 SW Anastasia Way, in Madison.
