The Madison County Christian Ministerial Association (MCCMA) held their monthly meeting Thursday, April 13, in the Board Room at Madison County Memorial Hospital (MCMH).
Following a time of fellowship during breakfast, the ministers opened their meeting. The minutes from the previous meeting were approved, and Rev. Retis Flowers reported on the Association’s finances.
Rev. Paul Rudloff reported the need for more volunteers for the bible reading at the gazebo during the week before the National Day of Prayer.
The group also finalized plans for the Association-wide 5th Sunday night service, which will be held April 30 at Madison Church of God at 6 p.m.
Once all other items on the agenda were addressed, the Association’s nominating committee presented their nominations. There were no additions or changes to the nominations, so the new slate of officers were unanimously elected.
The new officers for the MCCMA are: Rev. Octavious Tookes, President; Rev. Sim Alexander; Secretary, Rev. Gary Cox (assisted by Deborah Brown); and Treasurer, Rev. Retis Flowers.
The next meeting of the MCCMA will be Thursday, May 11, at 8 a.m. at the MCMH. During that meeting, Glo Smith, with CORE Solutions Group, LLC, will be speaking to the pastors about how churches can partner with schools and become more involved in mentoring young people.
