The Suwannee River Regional Library System (of which Madison County is a part of) will be presenting a show performed by Sean Driscoll of The Story Ship.
Driscoll combines awesome animation, puppetry, comedy theater, magic and music into a jam-packed, incredibly innovative children show.
Each set includes a large video projection system that brings the animation alive. A live actor and the audience interact with the animation as the stories unfold. With a wonderful array of magic tricks and musical instruments, the audience is drawn away from the animation and into a world of live, interactive comedy theater. Each show focuses on national standards for subject areas such as math, language arts, reading, social studies, character education, music and math.
The Story Ship has performed for its young audiences for a number of years and their unique combination of animation and live action makes the performances and workshops they provide truly unique.
The Story Ship artists perform regularly throughout the United States in theaters, schools, libraries, resorts, after school programs, and festival settings. They reach thousands and thousands of children and adults each year through hundreds of residencies, workshops and performances.
Each Madison County library will be hosting The Story Ship and the accompanying artist.
