The Madison Creative Arts Academy (MCAA) Panthers have begun their 2021-22 basketball season. The Panthers will be true “road warriors” this season, with only two home games on the schedule.
The Panthers opened their season on the road at Lake City Middle School. The Panthers were able to keep the game close in the early moments of the contest. The score was tied at five points apiece when the home team Falcons began to open a lead. By the time the first half ended, the Falcons had a commanding 27-8 lead.
During the second half, the Panthers were able to keep pace with the Falcons, but not able to put a dent into their lead. The contest ended with the Falcons comfortably ahead, 38-19.
The Panthers will have a contest with their cross-street rivals, the Madison County Central School Broncos on Friday, Nov. 19, in the MCAA gymnasium. Tip-off for the game is set for 5:30 p.m.
