On Tuesday, Jan. 21, the Madison Creative Arts Academy chapter of the National Junior Beta Club welcomed 14 new members. The 14 inductees and their families gathered in the First Baptist Church sanctuary for the ceremony. The four foundations of Beta: achievement, character, leadership, and service were presented to the inductees and their families by current members of the MCAA Beta Club, who lit candles and gave speeches presenting these ideals. Junior Beta President Rachel Barrs led the inductees in their pledge to the club, which concluded with the motto, “Let us lead by serving others.” After receiving their certificate and pins, Principal Janna Barrs gave each student a warm welcome into the organization, where the community will greatly value their promise to "lead by serving others."
