On Tuesday, May 16, Madison County Fire Rescue (MCFR) served as host for the monthly Madison County Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event. It was an opportunity for those in attendance to see up close some of the emergency vehicles used by MCFR while they are busy saving lives and property in Madison County. It was also an opportunity for MCFR to inform more citizens about the work performed by MCFR, as well as giving tips everyone can use to minimize the risk of fire damage.
During the time spent at the MCFR headquarters, attendees observed the proper way to use a fire extinguisher. There were also free blood pressure checks given to anyone who requested one.
The monthly Business After Hours events are held on the third Tuesday of each month at a different Madison County Chamber of Commerce member’s location. They are designed to help foster a friendly business-to-business atmosphere For more information on upcoming Business After Hours events, as well as other Chamber activities, please visit the Madison County Chamber of Commerce website at www.madisonfl.org, or call them at (850) 973-2788.
