The Kiwanis Club of Madison is planning the Seventh Annual Light Up Madison event for Saturday, Dec. 2.
Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. The purpose and goal for Light Up Madison is to offer families an evening of holiday celebration at no cost to them (except if they choose to purchase food). During the event, families will be able to enjoy a Lighted Parade, a visit with Santa, crafts, games, entertainment and a variety of rides. There will be a chance to win a Power Wheel. For each non-perishable food item donated, donors will receive a chance ticket. The drawing for the Power Wheel will be held at the end of the event, and you must be present to win.
The food donations will be distributed by Kiwanis members to the local food bank and to the Back Pack Buddies program at Lee Elementary School.
Light Up Madison has become a large event, and it could not happen without the support of the community. If you are interested in participating, please contact Deena Hames at (850) 973-8277 or at dhames@maximushg.com.
The Kiwanis Club welcomes the participation of the community in the parade, craft booths, games, rides and more.
