Marc Robinson, 18, of Madison will be leaving his hometown soon to explore new horizons while serving the Lord in Anaheim, California. Robinson is scheduled to leave on October 7 to Mexico City in Mexico. There, he will go to a training center for six weeks where he will learn how to speak Spanish. After the six weeks is up, Robinson will leave for Anaheim and remain there for the next two years to share the gospel. Growing up in church and around LDS Missions always made mission trips an option for Robinson and his family. In order to participate in a mission trip, participants must be 18. “It's always been something I've wanted to do,” said Robinson.
His brother, Matt, also did a mission trip in Utah, so seeing his brother go inspired Robinson to try it out as well. “The anxiety of wanting to do it has grown,” added Robinson. The church will take care of everything Robinson needs to succeed in the California mission trip. Robinson is looking forward most to being in a brand new place and meeting new people while getting closer to his Heavenly Father. Robinson wants to thank everyone who has supported him and gone out of their way to make this mission trip possible, especially family and friends. Robinson is the son of Ray and Maria Robinson and has three brothers: Matt, Luke and John.
