A Madison County man was booked in the Suwannee County Jail on Thursday, May 7 for three counts of robbery while armed. According to the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Officer report, Henry Mccray, 22, of Madison entered a car at 147th Road and Rail Road Street in Live Oak while holding three victims at gunpoint and took a purse and cell phones, totaling over $300. According to the report, Mccray stated that the victims owed him $100 and one of the victims called him and said to come to Live Oak to get the money. When he arrived they did not have the money. “(Mccray) said that he got mad and pulled the gun in order to show that he meant business,” the report reads. “He said that he just wanted to scare them, that’s why he only took the purse and phones and told them that when he got his money, he would give them back their stuff.” Mccray remained in the Suwannee County Jail at the time of press on Tuesday, May 19 with a bond of $150,000.
