On Monday, Jan. 4, members of the Madison Masonic Lodge #11 met for their 171th installation of officers. At the installation, new officers were elected for 2016.
The 2016 Madison Masonic Lodge #11 officers are as follows: Alfred Welch, Treasurer; Philip Wilkerson, Senior Deacon; Keith Williams, Senior Warden; Coleman Raines, Jr., Junior Warden; Carlton Burnette, Chaplain; Jay Lee, Junior Stewart; Brad Johnson, Tyler; Jim Catron, Marshal; Richard Terry, past Master; Sid Johnson, Worshipful Master and Jim Stanley, Secretary.
The Lodge was charted on Jan. 16, 1845 and is the fifth oldest lodge in Florida.
Freemasonry has a long-standing role in the birth and traditions of America and the growth of Madison County. Dedicated to making “Good Men Better,” the fraternity is committed to supporting all great causes, especially the poor and distressed, as well as the elderly and children. Locally, the Madison Lodge continues to support these local concerns, while also supporting the charities of the Grand Lodge of the State of Florida.
Madison Masonic Lodge #11 F.& A.M. meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month, with activities and social programs year round.
