On Easter Sunday, April 4, Madison Church of God held their final performance of the Madison Passion Play. Having completed eight years of the performance, the church continues to add new scenes and sets, improving the quality of the play each year.
Many residents of the community watched the play and were brought to tears by the powerful portrayal of the death and resurrection of Christ. Before the presentation concluded, Pastor Jason Justus gave an altar call after a brief message about the hope that Jesus offers to everyone. Justus was also grateful for all of the community support and the hard work of the many volunteers that helped make the play possible. “The most important thing is that eight people gave their lives to the Lord as a result of these performances,” said Justus.
