From Tuesday, June 20, through Thursday, June 22, almost 30 players attended the Madison Youth Soccer camp. Age groups were three to four, five to eight and nine to 14. The participants worked through the basics of soccer, followed by specific instruction and practice on offense and defense. The camp ended with dinner cooked by the Lee Volunteer Fire Department and a demonstration with the firetrucks that the campers enjoyed. The Madison Youth Soccer staff would like to thank not only the fire department but also the new coaches and other volunteers for helping make the camp a success.
The next camp will be a three hour mini camp located at James Tracy Stephens Rec Park (1087 SW Main St., in Greenville.) on Saturday, Aug. 5. Fall season registration will begin on Tuesday, Aug. 1.
