Maria Gilbert, wife to Artie Gilbert and mother to Hannah (16), Garrett (14) and Levi (7), a life long resident of Madison County whom in the past has spent many hours working with students and staff at Madison County Central School, volunteering her time to the Junior Auxiliary and whom is the founder and owner of Portion Farm, a microgreens grower and supplier farm has recently been hospitalized and diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer.
Gilbert has started her chemotherapy and treatment journey, however being without insurance this is a financial burden on her family. September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month and her family has put together a T-shirt fundraiser to help with her expenses.
