Mary Ruth Kramer, 80, was born in Madison, Fla. in 1941. Her father, Hyem, owned the renowned Kramer's retail store, and her mother, Eva (nee Greenstein) was one of the first women to receive a master's degree in social work. Ruth graduated from the University of Georgia, and over the years lived in Chicago, Washington DC, Barbados, San Diego, Calif., Cherry Hill, N.J., Monterrey, Calif., Jacksonville, Fla., Madrid, Spain, Northern Virginia and finally Rockville, Md. Ruth worked in retail and executive administration positions and always imbibed her Southern hospitality and cordiality in both her professional and personal life. She was well loved wherever she was and is remembered lovingly for her smile that lit up any room, her positive energy and deeply caring nature. She was especially pleased to be able to attend several Madison High School reunions. Ruth is survived by her daughters: Chaya Valier of Jerusalem, Eryca Kasse of Washington DC, and Carmiya Weinraub of Rockville, Md., her sister, Judy Greenfield and niece Cindy Greenfield both of Jacksonville and her 10 grandchildren.
