The Madison Lodge No.11 of Free and Accepted Masons recognized a long-standing member, Alfred Welch, for his 50-year commitment to the lodge.
Welch served as the lodge master in 1980 and has served as the treasurer for the Madison lodge for the last 20 years.
Welch received his 50-year card, certificate and lapel pen during the ceremony that honored his many years of loyalty to the lodge.
The Madison Lodge No. 11 was chartered on Jan. 16, 1845, making it 171 years old. The lodge currently has 180 members, 20 of which are 50-year members.
