The Madison County Central School girls' soccer team returned from their lull of the season and played several games last week. On Tuesday, Dec. 8, the match against Lake City was cancelled, but the girls came to the field on Wednesday, Dec. 9 to face off against Richardson in a home game at 5 p.m. MCCS was originally scheduled to play against Suwannee, but the game was moved to Dec. 10; the game on Dec. 12 against Richardson was moved to Dec. 9. Unfortunately, MCCS lost by a close score of 2-1 to the Richardson Wolves. Summer Roberts was the goal keeper during the game. MCCS returned to the field to play in a make-up game against Suwannee on Thursday, Dec. 10 at 4 p.m. MCCS suffered yet another loss, losing by a score of 4-1. On Tuesday, Dec. 15, the MCCS girls finished off the season and played a make-up match against Lake City; MCCS fell with a final score of 6-0. It has been quite a rough season for the MCCS girls' soccer team. Here's to hoping next year will brighten up for MCCS!
