Members of the Madison County High School (MCHS) Class of 1968 are sponsoring a special Helping School Kids Project to raise money for Lee and Pinetta Elementary Schools. All proceeds will be forwarded to each school to use to purchase clothing and other essential items needed by their students during the school year.
The chicken pilau lunch will be held on Friday, Dec. 9 on the Madison County courthouse lawn from 11 a.m. through 2 p.m., or until the food runs out. The cost for this delicious chicken pilau meal is $6 per plate and the price includes tea.
“We will serve chicken pilau until we run out,” said Dan Buchanan, Madison resident and member of the MCHS Class of 1968. “We want to help kids in the community. That’s why all proceeds will be given to Lee and Pinetta Elementary Schools.”
