Based on a recommendation from the Florida Department of Health, Madison County High School (MCHS) summer workouts for all sports have been postponed until July 20.
After several student-athletes attended summer workouts after being exposed to COVID-19, the Florida Department of Health decided that it is in the best interest of all involved to postpone summer workouts for 14 days.
"Our main goal is to keep the kids safe," said Shirly Joseph, Madison County Superintendent of Schools. "If the health department thinks we need to do it (postpone workouts), then I agree, we need to do it."
