The Madison County High School tennis team just wrapped up their season on Saturday, April 2.
Alex Oliver, #1 singles player for the boys team, finished the regular season with a district record of 7-5. Bailey Browning, #2 singles player for the boys team, finished with a record of 5-1.
Cassie Davis, #3 singles player for the girls, finished with a record of 7-5, while Oliver and Browning finished with a 9-3 #1 doubles team record and Davis and Katelyn Scott finished with an 8-5 #2 doubles record.
Camryn Alderman held the #1 spot for girls in both singles and doubles. Sarah Kauffman was the #2 singles player for the girls team and #1 in the doubles team. Both girls are juniors and have one more year of eligibility, along with Shera Berman, the #4 player for the girls. Alexis Kornegay, Ashton Terry, Mikayla Thomas and Julia Rollins completed the girl's roster.
Joshua Moore and Adam Androski were the #2 doubles team this season, with Moore and Androski playing seeds three and four. Both boys will be eligible to return next season; Moore is eligible for two more years. Gage Washington, newcomer to the squad, rounded out the top five, with Luke Androski and Caleb Hart finishing up the boy's roster.
Alex Oliver, Bailey Browning, the doubles team of Oliver/Browning and the doubles team of Moore/Androski all reached the semi-finals of the district tournament held on Saturday, April 2.
