On Tuesday, Mar. 7, the Madison County High School (MCHS) varsity tennis team held a home match against John Paul II Catholic School from Tallahassee. The girls' team came into the match fresh off a 7-0 victory against Taylor County High School. Ashley Cantey was victorious in her match against John Paul II. Jim Flournoy
followed up his win against Taylor County High School with another win against John Paul II Catholic. The boy’s doubles team of Bailey Browning and Caleb Hart came up just short, losing a 9-8 tie breaker against the boy's doubles team from John Paul II.
Then on Thursday, Mar. 9, the Madison County High School (MCHS) tennis team traveled to Tallahassee to take on Community Christian School at Forest Meadows Athletic Center. Several MCHS tennis players came out of the contest with victories. Katelyn Scott, Ashley Cantey, and Charlene Meddars all won their individual matches. In girls' doubles action, Cassie Davis and Scott won their doubles match. Bailey Browning and Jim Flournoy also won their singles
matches. The doubles team of Browning and Caleb Hart won their doubles match for the Cowboys.
The MCHS tennis team will have a re-match on their home courts with Community Christian School on Tuesday, Mar. 21. The match is set to begin at 3:30 p.m.
