MCSO issues SCAM alert

MCSO  Contributor Another scam attempt has been reported to be circulating in Madison County. The scammer calls and identifies themselves as an employee with CVS Pharmacy. The number provided was (850) 427-8286, although the scammer may use other numbers. The number may also come up on caller ID as “Monticello CVS.” The scammer informs the intended victim that they need to update their Medicare and Social Security information with CVS Pharmacy.  This is a scam.
