In the “Little But Proud” Town of Lee, there are three men who keep the Public Works Department running smoothly. All men are recent hires and they are responsible for maintaining water system, sewer systems and grounds keeping. Town of Lee’s Public Works Director Hakili Washington started February 2, 2015. Washington has experience in the Public Works Department, as he was Field Operational Chief for the City of Madison’s Wastewater Department for six years before resigning in July of 2014. When Washington is not working, he performs his duties as the Fire Chief for the Greenville Volunteer Fire Department. His favorite part of his job is working with people in the Lee community. Aaron Beck is the Public Works Technician for the Town of Lee. He started on March 2, 2015 and his favorite part of the job is getting to work outside. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family and relaxing. Gary McGuire is an intern for the Town of Lee Public Works Department. He was hired through CareerSource and started on July 8, 2015. His favorite part of the job is getting to work outside. When he is not working, he enjoys hunting and fishing.
