Applications will soon be open for the Miss Relay For Life pageant that will take place on Saturday, April 23.
The pageant will be held at the North Florida Community College (NFCC) auditorium at 10 a.m.
The event has nine age divisions, starting with ages birth-12 months for Infant Miss, ages 13 to 23 months for Baby Miss, ages two – three for Toddler Miss, ages four – five for Tiny Miss, ages six – seven for Little Miss, ages eight – nine for Junior Miss, ages 10-12 for Pre-Teen Miss, ages 13-15 for Teen Miss and ages 16-21 (as long as the applicant is not married and does not have children) for Miss.
There will also be a Miss Popularity Queen; each contestant will be voted on by the public via $1 votes on the day of the pageant. Each contestant will have a bag with her name on it for voters to poll their submissions.
The entry fee breakdown is $5 for Best Stage Personality, $5 for Prettiest Smile and $50 for Pageant Attire.
The regulations regarding pageant attire are white bottoms with a purple top of choice. Designs will be permitted on clothing as long as the main colors that the contestant is wearing are white and purple.
The proceeds above the entry fee that will be gathered from the event will go towards the NFCC Relay For Life.
The contestant who raises the most money above and beyond her entry fee for Relay For Life will receive $50 in cash, a trophy, crown and an embroidered sash. To qualify, a contestant must raise at least $200 above her entry fee.
The final deadline to enter the pageant is Wednesday April 20.
All applications must be turned in by the final deadline of the pageant. Applications can either be hand delivered or mailed to Miss Relay For Life C/O Danyel Rucker: 3473 NE Oak Hill Rd. Pinetta, Fl. 32350.
Each contestant must be at the pageant no later than 9:30 a.m. on Saturday April 23. All contestants must check in at the west entrance to receive their pageant number, which will need to be placed on the front right side of their outfit. After that, there will be someone at the check-in table to direct where the contestant needs to go from there.
Queens will receive a custom sash, trophy and crown. First and second runners up will receive a trophy. All finalists will receive a participation trophy and each contestant will receive a goody-bag. Optional winners will receive a trophy as well.
Tickets for the pageant will be $5 each and children two and under are allowed free entry as long as they are accompanied by a paying adult.
