Monica Lopez Gayosso, 24, gained her angel wings on Thursday, Sept. 9, 2021, in Madison. Graveside services were held on Monday, Sept. 13 at 6 p.m., at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens, 3945 N Valdosta Rd., in Valdosta, Ga. Visitation was held on Sunday, Sept. 12 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at T.J. Beggs, Jr. & Sons Funeral Home, in Madison.
Monica was born on Aug. 21, 1997, in Valdosta to Marcos and Olga Lopez. In 2015, Monica graduated with honors, from Brooks County High School, in Quitman, Ga. During her high school years Monica was always showing her loving and caring heart to all those around her. She was a member of the BETA Club and always maintained a student leadership role. She loved playing soccer, and in culinary classes she made the best cakes. On Aug. 5, 2017, she married the love of her life, Mauricio Gayosso Hernandez. Together they had two children, Maricio Jr. and Madalynn. She was a devoted wife and mother. They were her world. Monica was a stay-at-home mom until recently when she joined the Madison Dental Associates family. Monica had a smile that would light up any room and when she walked in she was loved by everyone who knew her. She had the largest caring heart and always wanted to help wherever she was able. In her spare time, she would always be found with family. Family was a big part of her life.
Monica is survived by her husband, Mauricio; her children, Mauricio Jr and Madalynn; her parents, Marcos Antonio Lopez and Olga Lopez Ceja; father in-law, Constantino Gayosso; mother in-law, Irma Hernandez; siblings: Diana (Emanual), of Valdosta; Mirna (Edgar), of Lee; Gabriela (Juan), of Lake Park, Ga.; Paola, Faviola and Marcos Antonio Jr., of Quitman, Ga.; maternal grandparents, Rodolfo and Emelia Ceja, of Valdosta; paternal grandfather, Marcelino Lopez Gonzalez, of Mexico; aunts and uncles: Ana (Ariel), Maria Guadalupe (Angel), Fabiola (Salbador), Joaquin (Rosa), Gervacio (Alejandra) and Maria Salud (Josue), all of Valdosta; Rodolfo (Norma), of Quitman; and Martin (Erika), of California; niece Yanesli Melani Gayosso, of Lee; and several cousins and friends.
Monica is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Catalina Medina Ambriz; Aunts and uncles: Maria Lusia, Leonardo, Guillermina, Manuel, Rosa, Procopio, Dioselina and Polo, all of Mexico.
