The fun and entertainment started at 10 a.m. for church and community members who came out to Mount Olive Baptist Church on Hwy. 53 South to celebrate Independence Day.
The southern gospel group, Heaven’s Touch, provided some good old southern gospel music. Hank and Becky Beasley, members of the group, ministered to everyone through their singing and testimonies. After singing, they stayed around to visit.
Youngsters, and those young at heart, enjoyed playing some games, and visiting while enjoying a lunch of hamburgers and hotdogs prepared by some of the church members.
Pastor Jacobs was very pleased with the way the celebration went, and he hopes this is the first of many outreaches from the church.
If you’d like to learn more about the church, or if you have a prayer need, Pastor Jacobs invites you to call him at (850) 519-1613.
