Congratulations to Corporal (Cpl.) David Spicer who was recently promoted to Detective Sergeant. Det. Sgt. Spicer is a four year veteran of the United States Marine Corps, where he served as a Military Police officer. After military discharge, Det. Sgt. Spicer spent 25 years with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) in Jacksonville, Fl. and retired in 2013. After retiring from JSO, Det. Sgt. Spicer became employed as a patrol officer with the Madison Police Department (MPD) and later was promoted to Cpl. In his new role, Det. Sgt. Spicer will be responsible for all cases assigned to him that require follow up investigations with a concentration on fraud, economic crimes, identity theft, narcotics and other major crimes. Det. Sgt Spicer hails from Jacksonville, Florida and is married with four children.
